Harvest 2012 Update
October 6th
We are at capacity in the cellar with approximately 85% of the fruit already in. We received nearly 15 tons of grapes in the last 9 days, the busiest week ever during our 6 commercial vintages. 2012 will be a great vintage for the state, with plenty of heat units to ripen and build rich skin tannins in the reds. We have lots of fun things going in the cellar this year! The entire lot of Elephant Mtn Viognier is going feral this year, as well as the Marsanne/Grenache Blanc from Boushey. We cant wait for the Rose' of Mourvedre from Efeste's Taylor Vineyard in Grandview, and the new, warmer, Tempranillo source in the Horse Heaven Hills. We will be barreled down by October 31st this year!
